I got the feeling it would be okay to post a question of this nature here, if I was mistaken please forgive me. Last week ia conversation arose in QN about sexual experimentation--that is, experimenting with both bi and straight. Thinking about it, I neve really had the urge to experiment, I have always seen myself as heterosexual. Inserting the standard disclaimer that I have nothing whatever against same-sex relationships or even same-sex marriage. <G> My personal observations, both online and off, over the past several years indicate to me that females at least seem to be much more apt to experiment sexually. It could also be that maybe guys just don't feel as comfortable talking about it. My question is if anyone else had noticed the same things I have? It's just a curiosity I've alwyas had, and frankly I never felt comfortable enough to post the question even in my LJ, but I feel okay posting it here. Hmm, does this mean maybe I'm loosening up? <G>
I've met two women who both expressed a desire to find out what same sex would be like, and they were both straight and married.
I think that perhaps it is all in how we are raised? Men are, generally raised to be logical, practical, and a bit closeminded at times, or at least regarding some things. Men are taught that vulnerability, inocence, sensitivity and anything un-manly is unacceptable. This might account for what you've observed.
Not sure, but I've never had the sudden urge to be "Gay or "Bi"
